Experienced choral director, music educator, and graphic designer with over twenty-five years of success in leading music programs, collaborating with musicians, and creating branding and deliverables for print and digital outreach. Passionate about fostering a love for music in people with diverse backgrounds.
Cory D. Curvin's first public performance was at the age of six, with his piano rendition of "I'm A Little Teapot," complete with choreography. A native of Mississippi, he's been a choral and instrumental conductor, collaborative pianist, and church musician for over twenty-five years, with a undying love for English choral music, improvisatory piano, and arranging for choir, orchestra and handbells.
Cory is a music educator and choral director in North Texas and also maintains an active performance schedule throughout the region, including serving as assistant director and accompanist of the Dallas Symphony Children's Chorus high school ensemble. He holds a bachelor of science degree in music with a sacred music emphasis and is a member of TMEA, TCDA and AGEHR. When not in the classroom or performing, Cory enjoys local road trips, the autumnal holidays, winter sports and collecting Texas historical memorabilia.
